Sooo......

Helloooooo out there, tap, tap, tap.....this thing on? Sorry for the radio silence. Things are as interesting here as usual. More so, considering that my daughters convinced me to do this with my half knit vest. Jess kept trying to take the picture but couldn't quite get me into focus (I suspect that the uncontrollable giggle fest they had going had something to do with it) so seeing as how I wanted to get back to my knitting' I took it myself.
Vogue Knitting here I come!
Last week was one of those very busy serious weeks that I was glad to see the end of. I think I'll make a bulleted list, it will save time. ahem:
  • Sunday: Went to Ikea, looked for couch. Found sofa sleeper that satisfied all of Superman's prerequisites. Jumped for joy at having new couch after 10 years of ugly. You can see what the ugly is in that photo up there ^
  • Monday: Jess stays home with icky tummy. It was raining out, she was bored, we made cookies.
  • Tuesday: the skies opened up and dropped an ocean upon Houston. We got a call at 7:30am alerting us to the fact that the school was inaccessible. I considered driving over just to make sure. Spent the day entertaining gurlies and trying not to run away.
  • Wednesday: I wake up to achy joints and the urge to keep Superman home to hold me while I whined all day. Later that evening I develop Jess' icky tummy. Wept a little.
  • Thursday: Icky tummy turns into hellish stomach bug of doom. Superman held me and took over for the day. I thanked the blessed faiths that he is mine and made an oath to knit all his socks for ever and ever (except in summer cause, well, it's Houston yo!).
  • Friday: Stomach still delicate, get a call from gurlies school. Jess has sore throat and low-grade fever. Have small heart attack and get ready to go get her and Lily. I take them to the Dr and come home with antibiotics. Decide that I prefer being sick to having my baby be in pain.

All in all it wasn't that bad, but it wasn't that good either. I plan on making this week all excellent, just to even things out. Today we have a Dr's appointment and hopefully Jess will be cleared to go back to school.

Have a great day!
