New Digs!

You like? I like.
I thought I'd change things up around here, I wasn't grooving on the look of the blog anymore. I loved it but I was quite bored with it. I do this alot, get bored and turn everything upside down and make a mess trying to find the right look again. Sometimes (not too often) I end just putting everything back the way it was. Not this time though, I like it. So we are stuck with it until I get bored again. The knitting a the top of the blog, where the (very unoriginal) tittle is , that there is my Sea Silk scarf. Aren't the colors just delicious, yum. Now that we've got that out of the way lets move on to more pertinent things. Knitting! Last night, during my nightly fight with the sleeping (or lack there of) I started these

Yarn: Cascade Fixation. Needles: Boye 3.5mm(US4) DPNS

They are socks for Scratchy, now that we've gotten over the madness of Sir Superman and his (insane) request for five pairs of handknit socks by Christmas (of this year no less) we are allowed to move on to knitting for other people. My poor baby, Scratchy, only has 1 pair of handknit socks, so I cast these on with out giving any thought to the fact that Meli's Cardigan is still sitting in the knitting basket awaiting it's button bands. Besides, they're the fastest kind of knitting, baby socks. I started these last night while Jess did her homework, by the time I finally went to sleep (2am!) I'd already grafted the toe. And since procrastination is my sport of choice, I cast on the other sock this morning while Superman ate his oatmeal. And it's not like I knit fast either Brynne, would have finished these in an evening. I mean, just look at the needle size. Want to take the edge off a case of Start-itis, Finish-it-itis, or take a break from a sweater, make baby socks. Don't have any babies to knit for, I'll send ya my address. Better yet, give them to charity, trust me orphan babies need hand knits too. Anybody want to come over and watch me vacuum?

I like the new look, and will need you to give me a primer on images for blog titles - the Sea Silk looks good (Heather has corrupted us all!)

Superman is insane. 5 pairs? Dude, I've been knitting socks with abandon for going on 5 years now, and guess how many pairs I've made for Ironman? One. One pair. Well, one and a half, since I am making him some for Christmas this year. You tell your man from me he is nutty.
