Favurits

I haz themz.
The other day I was in my daughters room doing crafts with them and chit chattin' about our favorite things. My oldest, Jess asked me what my favorite color was and I told her it was green. I asked her what her favorite color was and she said , yellow. Then they asked what daddy's favorite color was so I told them blue. TigerLily went on to proclaim that today her favorite color was orange, it was at this moment that WW4 began (WW3 was about PBJ vs Ham and cheese) Jess told Lily that you have to pick one color forever!
You see TigerLily never has and never will bow down to the rules set upon her by silly 1st graders (or anyone else for that matter)no, Lily my superspicy spicy baby doesn't just march by the beat of her own drummer, no, girly doesn't even use a drum!
That child is the epitome of different.

While my dear supersweet Jess is the most noble caring child. She and Lily are as much alike as sweet tweeting birds and a freaking bulldozer. Jess likes all things calm, gentle and girlie, Lily likes all those things but loud, rough and crazy, it really all depends on her mood. Just yesterday she declared her desire to be a butterfly for Halloween, and this morning at breakfast she up and decided that she would rather be a dinosaur with a crown. That girl has style. There are some days when I'm in the mood for extraspicy, excitement and roudyness, that TigerLily is my favorite child. I know it sounds wrong coming from a mother of three, but lets face it we all Love our children with a fury unlike any other. But really on a day to day basis, if we are going to be honest, I don't think we like them all the same.

I mean seriously there are days when TigerLily makes me want to sit in a corner and scream "uncle". Those are the days when my sweet gentle Jess comes to my rescue by picking up all her toys and Lily's to boot and to top it all off she makes me a card. I tell ya the girl knows the way to melt her mommas heart. 3 years ago during the whole crazy hurricane Wilma evacuation disaster, we were stuck in traffic for 15 hours or so just to get to San Antonio (usually only 3 hours away) and we had just stopped for ice because it was sooo hot! The convenience store where we stopped had put a limit of 2 large cups of ice per person because everyone was getting ice. Anyway as were driving away I give TigerLily a big chunk of ice wrapped in a napkin and I hand Jess a lid-less sippy cup full of ice. Let me stop here to mention that it was like 95 degrees outside and that we weren't using the AC because we didn't want to waste the gas. So Jess and Lily have their ice, Lily being only about 18 months old dropped her ice and began wailing at the top of her lungs it was at this moment, that my sweet generous 3 year old Jess handed over her entire cup of precious ice to her sister. Yall, let me tell you it made me get all teary eyed right then and there. I mean it would have been pretty cute for her to hand her a piece of ice, but no my sweet baby very willingly handed her little sister her entire cup, what 3 year old is that generous I ask yall. I'll tell what TigerLily sure aint that generous! On that entire trip, Jess was my favorite baby.

I know your askin' yourselves "don't she have a brood o' three runnin' around?" And the answer is yes, but Scratchy hasn't been my favorite child since she started teething. You see I don't take kindly to being chewed on, yelled at and being deprived of sleep. Nope, no siree I haven't liked her too much for a while now. Espechully when she does this:

Nope, I don't like her much at all these days.
