5 months

This is the longest I have ever spent with an existing UFO. My normal plan of action is to frog anything that doesn't hold my attention long enough to get finished. But it was something I just couldn't do to these socks, every time I felt like I should frog I ended up knitting a few rows instead. I kept falling in love with the yarn all over again. I received the yarn in December during our knit night's yearly Festivus gift exchange and I think this is the attraction to the yarn, it reminds me of my dear knitting friends, those that still attend knit night and those that have moved away.
That is why I couldn't frog and that is why I love them so much. They are cheerful, they are warm and they fit like...socks!
Just like my knitting friends, well except that my knitting friends aren't sock shaped.
It may have taken me 5 months to finish this pair, but it also took me 3 years this past April to cultivate the wonderful friendships I have with my knitting homies.
Be safe, Be good.

Oh my Bob, has it really been three years? I can't even believe it! Who would have thought that one little message on some obscure knitting website might grow into Dunobaby night. Or whatever it is these days. I'm glad you finished your socks sweetie - enjoy them!
